HELLO AT AKWAABA TECHIMAN

AKWAABA means welcome or hello in Ghana and TECHIMAN is the capital of the Bono East Region, where we have been accompanying and supporting children and young people on their journey through life for several years – wherever they need it – so that they may become healthy, strong, and happy people.

Our association AKWAABA TECHIMAN welcomes you. We are glad about your interest. Our projects are small, personal, and transparent. We always concentrate on one project, work on it with many hands – each as we can – until it is successfully implemented. We have a lot of fun doing it. Feel free to join us, every helping hand is welcome.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Not all children in Ghana are doing well. There are many children and young people without a home. Some of them have not enough to eat or need to earn their livelihood because they are from poor families or have lost one of their parents. Older children who grow up in an extended family have a lot of responsibility. They must cook on their own, wash clothes, and take care of younger siblings. Instead of learning or playing, the adolescents often have to work hard.

Thereby every child needs attention and education to become a healthy, strong and confident person. We cannot change the general conditions, but we can make a contribution, support some children and teenagers on their way through life to build a better future. And for that, our commitment is worthwhile.
